3dprinterstocks just ran an interesting article about our recent printer launch starting at a price point of just $499. The article draws a parallel between the current 3D Printing industry and the inkjet printing industry of the 1990′s, saying:

“Technology like this is first a novelty, becomes affordable, then becomes a necessity.”

We’re looking forward to the day when 3D Printing becomes a necessity. Big things are ahead of us. Already we see having a desktop 3D Printer as more and more essential for professional designers, architects, and engineers. The question is — who’s next?
